About Me and My Online Business

I started my first online home business in 1997. After a few years of hard labor working a day job while pursuing my online business in the evenings, I was finally able to quit my job at the office in 2004. I have been working at home full time ever since and am truly loving it. My passion is finding a new niche market online and being one of the first to promote it. One of these new markets is in the are of social media jobs.

I also help others get started online while maintaining my service based business and various other online ventures. I know for a fact that if I had discovered website building programs like Site Build It at the beginning of my journey, I would have saved myself a lot of grief.

There are a few ways to gets started online. The first step is finding your passion and what type of online business building process works for you. Most methods employ the use of some sort of website, (except for the new social media jobs market which I will go into more a little later in this article).

From a website with a single landing page to a multiple page website that is rich in unique content, what works for you is really a matter of how you are wired. There are also a few techniques to get traffic to your website.  I use them to get top rankings for my very first online business, which is an online advertising agency.

From my service based business, I later I moved into internet marketing through a one page website to build automated residual income, also known as passive income. It does not mean you make money without any effort, but most of the effort involved comes in the beginning as you set up your business. As time goes on, it continues to make money for you just by nature of the internet.

Recently, I discovered the growing marketing in social media jobs and the ability for someone to work from home without any type of website at all. You can learn more about that with this free video on social media jobs training.

In terms of a multiple page website for those who are not into social media and simply want to write about their passion, Site Build It is one method I recommend. Again, the work is done in the beginning to set up your online business. When it’s done correctly through a process such as Site Build It, Google takes care of the rest for you.

It Takes Work!

Regardless of what method you choose based on your interests…. a multi-page website like my service based business, or a one page website, you need a commitment to the process.  In the beginning for me, I set a goal to do a little each evening, and a couple of hours on the weekend. I would go to work during the day, and develop my website at home during my free time.  It was a lot of steady hard work, but the result was worth it. The benefits were independence, flexible schedule to accommodate my family, more time off from work, and newly gained financial freedom.

My initial work at home internet business was in the area of radio commercial production and radio script writing through my website at www.radiocreative.com. I soon became self sufficient. My system was automated and in place to receive steady income.

From there I started a variety of unrelated websites in niche markets selling products and just making money off of the traffic by featuring advertising on my sites. Today, I help others start their own home based businesses through websites that get results.

What I’ve Learned about Building a Successful “Work at Home” Internet Business!

Take it from me. There is no “get rich quick” scheme to help you build a successful internet business overnight. Even when you’re being realistic about starting a legitimate website with valuable information featuring many related products for sale, there is also no easy way to get the traffic you need to succeed.

I did it the hard way. I read every eBook I could get my hands on. I ventured out into related industries and built websites about niche topics. I spent money on training programs and through trial and error, learned what I needed to know. The good news for you is that today, there are many more resources designed to help you succeed, without a lot of money invested.

Here is what I know. The best way for the average person to be successful online, is to have someone walk you through the process – step by step. Even if you have very little knowledge of computers and even less knowledge about internet marketing, inexpensive programs like Site Build It provide a well laid out method at a very low cost. And for those who do not like to write articles or content for a website, consider a social media jobs course or free internet marketing training on how to make money online.

I designed this site to assist people from all walks of life to start their own online home based businesses. The key is a high ranking website and that can take many forms, from a single landing page to a multi-page website.

What does it take to success online? You need to commit to the process of putting the time and effort into a well laid out strategy. Among other things, to build an effective website that gets high traffic, you need unique content, which consists of information and articles about your online business.

While you are slugging through the initial stages of building a website that works well in the search engines, it will feel like you are not getting anywhere. But in reality, if you commit to the process, you will be writing your success story. How successful you become will depend on the long term effort you put in.

There are many more people online today than when I started my Work at Home Dream back 1997, and the number is growing. This means you have not missed out on your chance to succeed in the new online business world. This site gets a lot of traffic from other countries such as India and China are are just starting to come online for business. The great thing about the internet is that anyone can start a home business with a few dollars and a computer. Then market your product, service or info site to the world.
