Become a Social Media Manager Working at Home! Demand for Services is Growing!

A new online home based business opportunity is emerging. I’ve always said that you need some type of website to make a living working at home online. But now there is a growing demand for Social Media Managers where a personal website is not necessary.

Companies and corporations are in search of people to manager their social media profiles. These companies want to develop their online social media presence, but they do not want to hire a full time employee.

This simply means that businesses do not want to miss out on the social media craze, so they are setting up Twitter accounts and Facebook Pages (as well as other social media websites) in an effort to stay connected with potential customers and promote their company online.

While these online and offline companies to not want to hire full or part time employees to work within their company to simply manage their social media for them, they are willing to hire people working at home as consultants to do the job.

Frankly, they may not have given much thought as to the benefits, yet they don’t want to be the only company without a FaceBook Page, a Twitter account, or profiles on LinkedIn… and there are many more.

Here’s how it works.  Let’s say there is a business called “Ned’s Gnomes”.  Ned sells garden gnomes.

He sells them in a local store, as well as online through his website. Ned has heard that social media is the “new thing”.  People tell him it’s a great way to get connected with his customers, as well as gain new business and increase sales.

Ned wants his business on Facebook. He wants his business on Twitter and other social media websites. But Ned knows that to be successful in his business, he should NOT be spending his time fiddling around on Facebook.

As mentioned earlier, companies like Ned’s Gnomes do not want to hire a full time employee (where they need to pay benefits and take employees away from their regular duties), but they are willing to pay someone a monthly fee on a contract basis. So basically, you can work at home and get paid to play on Facebook and Twitter.  It’s more of a job than an automated online business, but you still get to work at home and build a viable income.

The real money is made when you obtain multiple clients. From there, it only take a few hours per week to manage and grow their social media accounts.
