Become a Social Media Manager Working at Home! Demand for Services is Growing!

I use a bit of social media for my online niche markets… but I am not totally sold on the idea that it can bring a lot of qualified leads. It depends on your business.

Every online business owners needs to ask this question. How much time to I devote developing social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter? What is the pay off for my business?

That said… Is there a way to Make Money from Social Media working for companies already using Social Media?

Frankly, for many internet businesses – social media is a waste of time. I am not passing judgment on those who do it… because again – it depends on your business and you need to determine if it fits with what you are doing. For my Entertainment Based niche markets, it works great. User are hungry to click through to me websites just by nature of the content.

So, should you use Social Media for your website? If you love to Twitter, that of course helps. If you hate Twitter, then the benefits for you need to be stronger than just a few visitors to your website each week.

You can set up social media sites for page rank alone and never touch them again… for the purpose of links back to you website to get a higher ranking on Google. OR… you can be very active with your social media to keep your content fresh, as well as build relationships with people online who are interested in your niche product.

Here is where I want to turn the tables. Anyone and everyone is trying to sell you on their social media marketing program to learn how to get leads and get more traffic to your website through sites like Facebook and Twitter. And YES, I have done programs and videos on this as well.

But I’ve just learned about the growing demand from corporations who are looking for people to handle their social media for them. Big companies from the Gap… to local business… or online businesses. So while we debate whether or not to use special media for our own website, these corporations most certainly DO NOT want to miss out on a growing trend. Frankly, they may not have given much thought as to the benefits, yet they don’t want to be the only company without a Facebook Page, a Twitter account, or profiles on LinkedIn and Plaxo for example. And there are hundred’s more.

However… these companies, whether big or small, DO NOT want to hire a full time employee… but they are willing to part with monthly fee to contract it out. So basically, you get paid to play on Facebook and Twitter. The real money is made when you get multiple clients. From there, it only take a few hours per week to manage and grow their social media accounts.
